Built so cofounder search starts with "why," not "what."
GoodBoom is early — currently pre-launch and building its founding cohort. Here's exactly what that means, how matching will work, and what happens to your information along the way.
Where things stand right now
GoodBoom hasn't launched yet. Right now, we're in an open waitlist and founding-member period: people are tagging the values they'd want in a cofounder search, and we're building that pool before opening full matching and messaging.
That means two things worth being upfront about. First, the founders shown on the homepage today are illustrative — a preview of how the values-tagged pool will look and filter, not yet a live directory you can message. Second, nothing about joining the waitlist or reserving founding pricing charges you anything now — see the FAQ below for exactly how that works.
Why values-first matching
Most cofounder-matching tools sort by role, industry, or stage. That surfaces plenty of capable people, but skips the question that actually predicts whether two people can build together for years: do you agree on why you're building at all?
GoodBoom asks you to tag what you're building toward first — things like environmental impact, worker ownership, community infrastructure, or governance and transparency — and filters the pool on that before anything else. Skills and stage still matter once a conversation starts; they're just not the first filter.
What happens after you join
- Tag your values. No certification or application — just what's true for you right now.
- Get matched. Once matching opens, you'll browse people who share your tags. A conversation opens only once both people say yes.
- Take one real step together. We nudge new matches toward a small, concrete first thing to build — not just another intro call.
Frequently asked questions
The honest answers to what people ask us most.
Is GoodBoom live yet?
Not yet. GoodBoom is pre-launch. We're building the founding pool of values-tagged founders now, and full matching opens once we launch. Joining the waitlist or reserving founding pricing gets you in early.
If I reserve founding pricing, am I charged today?
No. Reserving a spot only saves a payment method with Stripe — it does not create a subscription or charge you anything now. At launch, a 7-day free trial starts automatically, and you're only billed $15/month if you don't cancel before the trial ends.
What do you do with my email and payment details?
Your email is stored with our email provider (Kit) so we can notify you about launch and updates. Payment details are collected and stored directly by Stripe on their own hosted checkout page — they never pass through or get stored on GoodBoom's servers. Full details are on the Privacy & terms page.
How is this different from other cofounder-matching tools?
Most sort by role, industry, or stage. GoodBoom sorts by what you're building toward first — shared values rather than a matching resume — on the idea that the strongest predictor of a good cofounder relationship is agreeing on why you're building at all.
Who's behind GoodBoom?
A small team building this in public, starting with the founding waitlist. We'll share more here as the product comes together.
When exactly does GoodBoom launch?
We don't have a fixed public date yet. Founding members and waitlist subscribers are the first to hear, as soon as it's set.
How do I cancel or get my data removed?
Cancel a Stripe subscription any time from the link in your billing email, or email us and we'll handle it. To remove your email from our list, use the unsubscribe link in any email from us, or contact us directly.
